Guest Relations Manager : Mozambique

5* Island Resort is looking for an presentable and professional Guest Relations Manager to join their Team

The function of this position is to manage the guest interaction and liaison with personnel in all divisions; offer a service to guests of outstanding caliber to create an exclusive and unique experience for them.

Skills required:
•Establish a good working relationship with the Marketing, Airlines and Administrative staff for the purpose of liaising to effect an efficient service to guests with regard to reservation information and travel arrangements.
 •Personally meet and greet guests in a warm, welcoming manner with the inclusion of a good cross section of delegated local staff to assist with welcoming drinks, fresh face towels and luggage handling.
•Carry out a welcoming briefing and lodge orientation which should be interesting and informative.
•Carry out guest registration procedures and establish dietary requirements and any specific interests.
•Assist the data capture clerk in the responsibility of the efficient management of all guest related paper work and administration
• By receipt of the booking sheet and guest vouchers ensure:
• The accuracy and correlation of information between vouchers and booking sheet before setting up the lodge reservation board,
• Liaise with the marketing team where necessary to receive adjusted information in confirmation of reservations,
•Update the reservation diary to indicate arrivals, departures and rooming
 •Maintain a well kept file with the above information for daily use in an appropriate place for easy access.
 •Prepare and/or delegate to have prepared and placed in rooms in good time, a welcome note and/or other welcome correspondence to arriving guests.
•Ensure from time to time that updated information brochures are available in rooms. •Arrange the timely placement of Agent Info Packs in rooms as and when required.
•Obtain completed Registration forms from arriving guests, attach to booking vouchers and pass this on to the data capture clerk with any additional account information.
•Prepare and distribute new arrival and departure information to related divisions at the end of each day.
