This vacancy is available to either a couple or two single persons. We are looking for 2 people to assist us in very secluded lodge in Gabon, West Central Africa. He must act as Camp Manager and Guide and she will be responsible for office and administration of lodge. Candidates that have worked outside of SA already will have a great advantage.
Skills required:
He:
- Previous camp management experience a must;
Oversee preparation of accommodation & public areas for guests, stock orders (F&B), and communication with main lodge, provide high service levels to clients, preparation of camp meals when necessary, assist with general maintenance, coordinate and guide activities.
FGASA 2; Guiding skills; Maintenance skills an advantage.
SHE:
- She must have administration and hotel office experience.
- (bookkeeping, petty cash, salaries, income & expense, logistics and all other general office duties);
General office administration;
Front of house (Reservation, Check in and out of guests, Liaising with clients etc)
Oversee curio shop;
F&B duties and hosting of guests when necessary.
Candidates must be fluent in English with an understanding of French a big advantage. One year contract after a probation period of one month.
Experience in similar position or relevant qualifications (hospitality / tourism or guiding) required.
Guiding experience -
FGASA 2 level guiding experience an advantage
Cooking experience and knowledge of food & beverage service an advantage
Physically good condition
Driver’s license and Valid First aid Training necessary.
Excellent organizational skills and people skills required.
