MOZAMBIQUE – GENERAL MANAGER/OPERATIONS MANAGER – R30 000 (LIVE-IN)
A luxury 5* Resort in Mozambique is looking for a General Manager/Operations Manager. The ideal candidate needs to be a mature, responsible individual who can interact with very high-end clientele. At least 5 years’ experience at a 5* property or Hotel Group is required, with a formal Hotel School/large Hotel Group background. Strong financial acumen and competent in standard Hotel processes are a necessity, as well as excellent guest skills, therefore the candidate needs to be highly presentable and professional. Strong in all aspects of management, i.e. staff/motivation/ HR and be used to a large ‘local’ workforce and the challenges this presents.
The incumbent must be prepared to operate in an isolated island environment, therefore good interpersonal skills are required to be able to live in a small expatriate community and must be willing to make a long term commitment to the position.
The ability to speak a European and/or Portuguese/African language will be an added advantage.
