Hotel, Conference & Wedding Venue in Muldersdrift requires an experienced Sous Chef. Experience in high volume high turnover operations preferred.
Experience: Must have at least 4 years experience in the same position or Head chef experience in a smaller Lodge / Catering establishment.
Must have formal chef school training and hold a diploma or any other relevant qualification.
Skills : Must be familiar with all aspects regarding the kitchen
Must be familiar with cost and stock control.
Must be familiar with menu planning and costing.
Must be familiar with ordering, receiving and storing of stock as well as invoice control.
Must have good leadership skills.
Must be familiar with disciplinary procedures.
Must be familiar with all aspects re. health & safety as well as fire/emergency procedures.
Must be computer literate
Must have good communication skills.
Abilities: Must be able to get along with people of all spheres of life.
Must be able to train and guide staff in all aspects of the kitchen.
Must be innovative and honest.
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be able to take initiative and work independ
Must have drivers license and own transport.
Starting date: ASAP
Salary: R 12 000.00 – R 14 000.00 p.m. neg. as per experience. Live out position.
