Restaurant Manager

A leading 5* Cape Town hotel requires a highly
qualified Restaurant Manager.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To maintain all facets of the Restaurant. This includes Co-ordination of operations and financials to the required guidelines and standards of
the Hotel.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
· Recognized Hotel School Diploma or equivalent in experience;
· At least 3 years experience as Restaurant Manager in a 5 star
Environment;
· Strong communication skills;
· Customer service focus;
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle situations
of conflict;
· Wine knowledge;
· Working knowledge of Micros, Opera (Procure.Net will be advantageous).
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
· To ensure own conduct in dealing with Guests and Staff is a
reflection of the Hotel’s values;
· Maintain and improve standards by means of supervision and
training. Training is to be structured and recorded;
· To plan and manage the overall staffing levels for the Restaurant
at the hotel within the predetermined budgets;
· Plan, implement and review systems to ensure effective guest liaison;
· Plan, implement and review systems to ensure proactive operational
management – anticipate service needs ahead of time;
· Plan, implement and review systems to promptly respond to
and resolve guest complains.
