The Opportunity:

We are in need of professional restauranteurs who are able to handle all aspects of the business and who not only has a PROVEN TRACK RECORD in the business to achieve Guest Satisfaction and Profitability results but also as someone who has shown that they are WILLING and ABLE to train and develop their staff and create a WORK ENVIRONMENT where staff are INSPIRED to deliver EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCES.

As a professional manager our desired applicants will be in constant contact with Head Office in terms of training, marketing campaigns, follow ups, complaints handling, POS system updates and finance recording which are essential parts of each day.

Very important to us is that as a BRAND we are PASSIONATE about helping and support the communities we serve and our ideal candidates will be central to this campaign in motivating and inspiring their team to be motivated to be actively involved in helping the less fortunate.

Purpose of the Job:

As General Manager - Restaurant the successful applicant will be passionate about creating a memorable Guest and Employee Experience and Financial Results.

 

Criteria for the Job:

To be successful the following criteria is essential and the successful applicant MUST:

  • Have a reputation as someone with integrity and penchant for being honest
  • Be capable of championing the brand and ensure that the Brand Promise is delivered to guests and patrons
  • Have proven track record of a minimum 5 years in a senior restaurant management position
  • Strong BOH and FOH experience to run all aspects of the business operation
  • Inspirational Leadership capability to create an environment where employees are passionate about creating a memorable guest experience and championing the execution of restaurant level marketing campaigns.
  • Mindset for continuous improvement and a quest for Zero Defect/Error
  • Have proven competence and experience in training and development of staff (NQF Qualifications will be highly advantageous)
  • Be skilled and experienced in back end stock control and food cost monitoring
  • Valid Driver's license with a reliable vehicle
  • Capable of scheduling and rostering staff in a manner that is fair and motivating to all
  • Capacity to effectively manage cash flows and cash up's
  • Willing to work shifts
  • Knowledge and experience in Food Safety (e.g. HACCP,  FoodSafe, USPH or similar)
  • Experience in ordering of stock and conducting weekly stock takes
  • Be able and willing to work as a champion in executing marketing campaigns at store level
  • Have a passion for food and an understanding of the restaurant business
