My client a Hotel in Polokwane is recruiting for a Night Auditor with the necessary skills and previous experience to run the Night Audit responsibilities for the Hotel and also be responsible for the management of the night staff.
Salary : R 9000 : Live Out (Negotiable based on experience)
Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as a Night Auditor /or similar Front Office Position in a 4/5 Star Hotel
Opera (Front Office, Cashiering, Reservations, Reporting) Knowledge – ESSENTIAL
Computer Literate – MS Office (word, excel)
Excellent Communication Skills – Fluent in English
Excellent Guest Relations
Basic Mathematic and Accounting knowledge with Excellent Administration Skills essential
Able to work under pressure
Able to work shifts
Minimum Std. 10 (Grade 12) / Matric
Front Office or other relevant Hospitality Qualification will be an added advantage
Key areas of Responsibility
To ensure that all guests are checked in and out in a professional, efficient and courteous manner.
To maintain a high standard of personal service with all customers, internal and external as well as public areas.
To manage & control revenues and to report any deviations, irregularities to revenue and VAT accruals daily.
To compile a daily departmental revenue reports and distribute to all HOD’s every morning.
To conduct room inspections every night and to ensure that the number of rooms sold for the prior night equal that of the housekeepers report of clean rooms.
Ensuring that Company Policies and Procedures regarding Front Desk Procedures, Switchboard Duties, handling incoming messages, mail, deliveries, packages etc. are strictly adhered to.
Dealing with all guest queries regarding bookings, in house queries, payments and after departure services.
To assist the Sales & Marketing department in promoting and selling the hotels & the facilities to prospective guests.
Ensuring effective communication from the Reception Department to all Operational Departments.
To make reservations in the absence of the Reservations Department and after hours.
To assist as far as possible with the induction and training of new staff members and students.
To carry out duties related to the job that Management may require from time to time.
Maintaining guest accounts and processing POS transactions during their stay.
Processing of banking daily.
