POSITION OVERVIEW:
*Safari JOBS is searching for a Lead Trails Guide / Ranger for an ULTRA luxurious 5* property situated in Mpumalanga. It is mandatory that the candidate has either a Level 2 or 3 FGASA Lead Trails qualification to apply. Candidates also need to have a passion for and or experience in Photography. Your minimum of 5 years of experience as Game Ranger, preferably at senior level in top 4 or 5 Star Game Lodge environment will qualify your application for consideration.*
Imagine a Game Lodge of exquisite luxury, with private Bush Houses, situated in the most tranquil bush setting… a place where nothing is too much trouble and no effort spared to create a Safari experience that will rival any other in the world. The Rangers will be accountable, with the trackers and service teams, for the guest ‘Safari’ experience throughout the Guest’s stay at the lodge.
The Game Rangers will lead the Safari teams in a manner that ensures the highest standards of Game viewing and hospitality experience, while excelling in skills transfer to the Guests and will delight in the growth of their team. As a Game Ranger you will supervise the hosting of the lodge's Guests through the dining and game drive experiences and will of course support the General Manager with service delivery, advice and ideas as the team seeks to set the property in place as the top bush lodge experience in its region.
The successful candidate is motivated by creating exciting and memorable Guest experiences while holding true to the various South African hospitality traditions. A team player and a coach, the Game Rangers will model service leadership, integrity, energy and above all, a commitment to creating and consistently delivering an outstanding hospitality experiences for the lodge Guests. A sharp eye for service detail, anticipation of Guest needs and wants; specialist skills such as photography, birding, bush walks, tracking and weapons handling are key requirements for this position.
