We are looking for a dynamic person to join our Sales & Functions department in Menlyn. This person needs to have strong sales experience and must understand the workings of a Corporate Functions venue and have a solid food knowledge. Must be target driven in order to reach sales targets every month.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Receiving the enquiries and sending out quotes
- Ensuring that the client confirms the booking
- Dealing with all aspects of putting the function together,
- Coordinating the function on the day,
- Invoicing & follow up on payments.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Sales within a hotel or Corporate functions venue
- Previous experience in managing and organizing conference & corporate functions, and/or having worked in the conference industry and/or previous administrative experience preferably within a service organization where sales & client interaction was a key focus
- Previous experience in budget management and reconciliation of accounts.
- Previous experience in working with computers particularly Word and Excel. The ability to work the internet and email is essential.
- Must be able to work towards a montly target
- Must be able to multitask
- Good telephone etiquette and communication skills
