  • Adhere to Restaurant’s standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
  • Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food and beverage preparation and service
  • Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms and appearance standards
  • Resolve customer complaints about food quality or service
  • Maintain relationships with customers, all staff including BOH staff
  • Organizing and supervising the shifts of waiting staff
  • Helping in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate
  • Ensure daily stock take of beverage is done
  • To ensure that all stores are organized and maintained according to required standard
  • To ensure that restaurants and cloakrooms are clean and well maintained, table appointments, including flower arrangements are impeccable
  • To ensure that waiters are always correctly and smartly dressed, that they offer professional and courteous service to their customers
  • To ensure that staff are briefed before every service and function
  • To ensure that room service orders are executed promptly and that they comply with the required standards
  • To ensure that bars and cloakrooms are clean and stocked with the stipulated requirements
  • To ensure that barmen are well trained, correctly and smartly dressed and serve their customers in a professional and friendly manner
  • To ensure maximum security in all areas under your control and that staff are fully aware of the importance of key security
  • To ensure that company and statutory hygiene standards are maintained in all areas
  • To attend timeously to customer complaints
  • To take the necessary steps in the event of theft, burglary or fire
  • To ensure that fair discipline is affected.
  • To ensure that an effective table reservation system is in operation
  • To circulate throughout all restaurants, bars and conference, maintaining a high profile with customers and staff.
  • To carry out or ensure that regular On-the-Job Training is taking place to agreed standards
  • Ensure that attendance registers are completed daily in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Ensure that cashing up procedures are strictly adhered to
  • To ensure that faults and defects are reported to Maintenance and actioned without delay
  • To ensure that proper handover between managers and staff are maintained on a regular basis
  • Report directly to GM regarding all important occurrences
  • Support and assist implementation of any additional systems or GM duties
