Job Description

The successful candidate will report to the Head Ranger.  Listed below are the requirements for this position:  

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing an interpretive safari experience on game drive and / or walks daily;
  • Hosting the guests for the duration of their stay at the lodge;
  • Responsible for the safety and well-being of guests while on safari;
  • Coordination extra quests activities on the reserve;
  • Safari experience / activities for children – kiddies drive, fishing and other specific activities that form part of our children’s program at the lodge;
  • Assisting with transfers of guests/staff;

Minimum 3 & ½ years guiding experience in a Big 5 reserve with in a similar lodge environment. FGASA level 1/2 qualification Full Trails guide or back up guide qualification – advantage. SASSETA certificate. Valid PDP Valid Code 08 Drivers’ License. DEAT registered THETA registered. First Aid level 1/2/3 Rifle competency. Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH).
