Overview 

My Cleint a well known 5*Game Lodge and Spa in Limpopo is recruiting for a Personal Assistant ( to the Operations Manager) & Lodge Coordinator who fits the criteria of a creative individual with a passion for event management, Lodge coordination and outstanding Guest Relations. This individule will assist the Operations Manager as well as take control of Guest Relations, ascertaining Guest requirements and co-ordinating these needs to ensure the successful execution of all Lodge related matters, Functions and conferences in a timely manner in accordance with the set standard of the company.

Remuneration

  • Salary - R 15 000.00 - Negotiable based on qualifications and suitablity to the available position
  • Single status live in

Requirements:

  • Hospitality / Tourism Management - Diploma - preferable 
  • PC literate including: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel 
  • Experience on Opera and Micros - very benificial 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have excellent people skills
  • Must be creative
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
  • Must be able to work under pressure

Responsibilities 

  • Full office management function 
    • Admin
    • Diary Management
    • meeting coordination and scheduling 
    • taking minutes of meetings 
  • Understand requirements for various department as well as events taking place in the Lodge 
  • Plan events with attention to financial and time constraints
  • Book venues and schedule speakers
  • Research vendors (catering, decorators, musicians etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms
  • Hire personnel
  • Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations etc.)
  • Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards
  • Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems
  • Evaluate event’s success and submit reports
