Great opportunity for a Snr Sous Chef or Head Chef with passion for good food and great service to join the pre-opening team of this high volume restauant opening.Candidates must come from a busy, fast paced restaurant environment and have extensive cooking experience in modern, wholesome cuisin..  Duties will include:

  • Implementation of menu 
  • Staff management including recruiting, training, rostering and attending to disciplinary procedures within the kitchen
  • Food purchases, sourcing best prices, ordering, receiving and stock control
  • Calculating food costs ensuring that items are priced correctly
  • Stock take of food ensuring the budgeted food cost is achieved and maintained, keeping wastage to a minimum
  • Hands on food preparation, cooking and managing the pass
  • Candidates must have strong managerial skills and controls and be able to work shifts
  • Own reliable transport is essential
