High end restaurant group seeks the services of a CREATIVE and PASSIONATE Sous Chef to join their winning team.

  • Support the head Chef in the smooth running of the Kitchen 
  • Assist with menu planning and ensure that all necessary stocks are on hand at the right quality and quantity
  • Ensure that service is run professionally- orders are called and coordinated
  • Ensure time delivery of food is as per agreed service standards
  • Ensure that kitchen standard operating procedures are adhered to
  • To be in control and aware at all times of food cost percentages
  • Ensure that all timetables, leave rosters and attendance registers are accurate and up to date
  • Ensure that all stock control functions are carried out according to standard operating procedures
  • Ensure all month end administration is completed accurately and timeously
  • Enforces hygiene with kitchen and service staff
  • Ensure effective daily communication with  relevant departments
  • Promote staff moral and workplace safety
  • Ensure all cooks, chefs and scullers  perform their duties correctly, and coach and guide so that performance remains at a high standard

Minimum Requirements:

  • Culinary qualification
  • 2 years' experience in a high end 200+ seater restaurant 
  • Positive contactable references
