MINIMUM CRITERIA/ QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATIONS:

• Matric / Grade 12 / Senior Certificate;
• Some form of electrical qualification / certificate;
• Must have good electrical knowledge including being able to fault find, identify phases & basic electrical components and fix standard basic issues, re-wire etc;
• Strong all-round handyman knowledge base with the ability to use hand and power tools and basic machinery -
• Must be good at various handyman related tasks including: plumbing, welding, brazing,  soldering, fixing of lawn-mowers, weed eaters, basic carpentery, refrigeration, air-conditioning, ice-machine basics, gas applicances, heat and water pumps, generators, swimming pool maintenance etc. etc.
• Be able to lead a small team of general maintenance workers and be second in charge when the maintenance manager is absent;
• Must be highly-presentable, well-spoken and well-groomed as you will be in contact with high profile guests on occasion;
• Basic computer literacy;
• Excellent English communication skills – written and verbal;
• Punctual, self-motivated individual with an eye for detail;
• Must be of sober habits and in good fit, physical health;
• An engaging, patient team-player who works well with other staff and can communicate comfortably and confidently with Guests;
• Happy to work in a big 5 bush environment for 6 week periods

ADVANTAGE CRITERIA (NOT MANDATORY):

• Previous experience in / an understanding of working in a high end 5* environment;
• Previous safari lodge / hospitality industry experience;
• Valid driver’s licence;
• Own transport

This position would be best suited to a single candidate under the age of 30 years and whom resides in either Mpumalanga /  Limpopo / Gauteng - all applications will however be considered.

REMUNERATION & BENEFITS:       

(DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND SUITABILITY)

• Salary of R15, 000.00 - R18, 000.00 per month (deductions are PAYE & UIF);

WORK / LEAVE CYCLE:

6 weeks on – 2 weeks off + annual leave days
